• Won the Gold Medal for Science Fiction in Foreword Magazine’s 2005 Book of the Year Awards (Foreword is the leading journal of the independent press industry)


• Won the Independent Publishers Association’s Ippy prize for Best Fantasy/ Science Fiction novel of 2004


• Was named a finalist for the Publishers Marketing Association’s Ben Franklin “Best New Voice” Award
